Three accidents within one hour

A truck came off the road In Hünenberg and tipped onto its side, while two cars crashed into each other almost simultaneously in Hagendorn. And a car driver collided with a cyclist in Unterägeri.

The Zug police had their hands full over the weekend: six accidents and several injuries between Friday evening and Sunday evening kept the police on their toes. And things continued on Monday morning, with three accidents within an hour.

Shortly before 8 a.m., a truck came off the road on the Maschwanderstrasse in Hünenberg and overturned onto its side in a field. The 38-year-old chauffeur was thereby  injured and had to be taken to the hospital, as the police reported on Monday afternoon.

The truck was recovered and transported away by the Hünenberg fire department and a private recovery company. The road had to be closed during this time. According to the statement, the exact cause of the accident is under investigation.

A few minutes later, another accident occurred at the intersection of the Dorfstrasse and the Sinserstrasse in Hagendorn. A 35-year-old woman driver disregarded the right of way and crashed into the side and front of the car of a 19-year-old. She thereby sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital.

A third incident occurred shortly before 9 a.m. in Unterägeri. A 47-year-old woman driver turned from the Fischmattweg into the Höfnerstrasse, and thereby disregarded the right of way and collided with a cyclist. The 78-year-old cyclist was slightly injured and was taken to hospital for a check-up.
