What should I do if I show symptoms? How can I get tested?
In the case of symptoms such as a fever and coughing, you need to stay at home so that you don't infect anyone else. If the symptoms are mild, you can look after yourself, and a test for the infection is not necessary.
If you are at a higher risk or if the symptoms get worse: call your doctor. He or she will decide whether a medical examination needs to be carried out, or whether it is sufficient if you stay at home and look care of yourself.
Healthy individuals who do not show symptoms are still not being tested.
The Federal Office of Public Health has prepared an online check, with which you can find out the correct procedure in each individual case.

In addition to the federal measures, the Governing Council (Regierungsrat) of the Canton of Zug adopted a plan containing various measures on 24 March 2020, including the offer of a helpline for Zug companies corona_zugerwirtschaft@zug.ch, Tel.+41 41 767 01 20.
Extension and simplification of short-time working
Due to the federal decision to simplify pre-registration for short-time work in connection with the coronavirus, the filing has been simplified and extended.
Further information on the procedure, and the necessary forms can be found on the website of the Office for Economic Affairs and Labour.
Schools
The obligatory schools will re-open on 11 May. Protection concepts are currently being developed, about which parents will be informed by 5 May. In the public schools of compulsory schooling, the 7th and 8th of May are free from lessons, so that the implementation of the protection concepts and the use of school buildings can be prepared. Students may work voluntarily on the school material on these days, and a link with ideas and tips can be found on the homepage of www.schulinfozug.ch.
Secondary schools, vocational colleges (Berufschule), technical colleges (Fachhochschule) and universities should reopen on 8 June. The decision of the Federal Council will be taken on 27 May. The protection concepts for post-compulsory schools can only be drawn up once the Federal Council has made the relevant requirements.
Nurseries (Kitas) remain open
The Federal Government has now regulated the question of day care centres in the adapted regulations regarding measures to combat the coronavirus. It has decided to leave the day care centres open. The day care centres in the canton of Zug will therefore remain open, as decided by the Governing Council on Saturday, 14 March. For companies that now want to set up their own childcare services for their employees' children, the municipalities offer a simplified reporting procedure. The canton made the necessary form available to the municipalities.
Based on Article 6(1) of the Federal Ordinance, playgroups are not permitted. (It is forbidden to hold public or private events, including sporting events and club activities.) These are covered by this provision, regardless of whether they are organised as an association or not.
Ban on visits to hospitals, old age and nursing homes as well as social institutions
The Health Directorate of the Canton of Zug has also announced a ban on visits to hospitals, old-age and nursing homes as well as social institutions, in order to provide more protection for the particularly vulnerable groups, although the hospitals themselves made this decision at the weekend. In individual cases, the management of the institutions may grant exceptions to the ban on visitors in cases of objectively justified reasons (e.g. palliative care). In these cases, the home management will regulate the details, in particular the maximum number of visits, the number of visitors and the maximum number of visits per day. If necessary, the management will consults the responsible family doctor. The home shall ensure the implementation of the ban on visits.
Central Coordination Centre for volunteers
In order to protect the population from contagion as far as possible, persons, and especially the defined risk groups, should stay at home as much as possible. The eleven Resident Registration Offices (Einwohnergemeinde) of the canton of Zug therefore rely on neighbourhood assistance, and want to coordinate this and provide active support. Older people who live alone, in particular, may now feel unsettled and wonder how to tackle normal tasks. People who need help, but also healthy people who are not part of the risk group and want to help, will be provided with a central contact location. The Central Coordination Centre for Neighbourhood Assistance is a collaboration of all the Zug municipalities, under the leadership of Sovoko, as well as the support of numerous social institutions and organisations.
Anyone who wants to seek or offer help can contact the central coordination centre via the following contact form:

The site can also be reached by phone on 041 723 89 60 (Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.)
