The 75th anniversary should actually have been celebrated long ago; but the Corona pandemic put a spanner in the works for the bank. Now, about two years later, the bank is catching up on its anniversary festival. The event, which will be covered by Radio Sunshine, will take place on 11 and 12 June 2022 in the Hirsgarten Cham. The festival starts on Saturday at 2 p.m. and lasts until Sunday at 4 p.m. Street food stalls provide for the physical well-being of the guests on both days, and there is also a bar operation on Saturday. A particularly pleasing point: admission is free.

Musical entertainment for young and old
The programme has been arranged to be very varied, so that there is something for everyone. The first major programme item on Saturday afternoon is the band contest, which is being carried out together with Radio Sunshine: the winning band will be chosen from talented up-and-coming bands, and will then be allowed to perform as an opening act in the evening. The main act is the musician Stefanie Heinzmann, who is known beyond the borders of Switzerland.

Sunday starts with a yodelling mass (Jodlermesse), at which the Schlossgruess Cham yodel club will provide a local touch as part of an oecumenical service. The Music Society Cham and the Swing Classic Big Band will then contribute to the diversity of the festival during the day. Musically, the event will be rounded off by the children's band Caroline Graf and the Superhaasen, who should especially captivate the youngest listeners.

All are welcome
True to the bank's vision – "Tangibly close to you your vicinity (Spürbar in Ihrer Nähe) – the event should be a celebration for everyone. When planning the festival, the Raiffeisenbank Cham-Steinhausen therefore attached great importance from the outset to ensuring that not only customers and cooperative members, but also the population could participate. This is also underlined by the involvement of local associations: they are helping the bank with the implementation of the festival and, at the same time, are earning a financial boost for the association's coffers. The help will be welcome, because up to 10,000 visitors are expected if the weather plays along.

The new Raiffeisen building in Cham

What needs to be achieved so that the festival can be considered a success from the bank's point of view? André Koller, Chairman of the Bank's Executive Board, replies: "If the visitors are satisfied, then so are we. Honestly, after more than two years of the corona pandemic, we're looking forward to just getting back together with people on a larger scale."

New headquarters in Cham has been well received
The Raiffeisenbank Cham-Steinhausen opened its new headquarters in Cham in January 2020. With the new building at a central location, the bank is responding to current customer needs, which include, in particular, digitization and customer service. And the building is doing its job: "The greater flexibility and location independence that digitization brings with it have been well received by our customers, but the even more personal advice we can now offer is particularly appreciated," says André Koller. Customers can, for example, obtain advice at a bar table, sitting comfortably on a sofa or classically in a meeting room. In this way, there is a suitable consultation environment for everyone, and, at the same time, the bank has consolidated its own image of a customer-oriented consulting bank.
