Police stop jogger on motorway

On Wednesday evening, a 31-year-old athlete chose an extraordinary training route: he was jogging on the A4 motorway from Rotkreuz towards Küssnacht am Rigi SZ. Police stopped the foreign student and fined him.

During questioning, the man stated that jogging along a motorway was common and allowed in his home country, the Zuger police wrote in Thursday's press release. When asked, however, the police spokesman did not want to reveal where the jogger originally came from.

It would have been better if he’d jogged in the forest rather than on the motorway: The 31-year-old athlete was fined for his illegal training session.

The police stopped the jogger on the hard shoulder of the motorway at about 6.30pm and took him safely off the motorway.
