Police arrest escaped prison inmate in Zurich

A 29-year-old man escaped from prison last Tuesday. The criminal prosecution authorities have now cancelled the manhunt, as the man has been apprehended.

An inmate of the Zug prison escaped last Tuesday during an external work operation (we reported). In a press release this morning, the Zug law enforcement authorities announced that intensive police investigations in recent days led to the discovery of the whereabouts of the wanted person.

The 29-year-old escapee was arrested by the Zurich cantonal police on Monday morning and is now back in the prison in Zug.
