Overview of the Christmas markets in Zug municipalities

Numerous Christmas markets will ensure the seasonal mood. Here is a brief overview:

City of Zug
The Advent market takes place this weekend. Children's crafts and a Märchenstube (fairy tale room) are on the programme.
22nd to 24th November in the Altstadhalle. Friday: 1 pm to 9 pm, Saturday: 10 am to 9pm,
Virtual Reality goggles at the Museum Burg Zug at 11 am, Sunday: 10 am to 6 pm.

The Freiruum Market takes place in the "Freiruum" event hall. In addition to the many stallholders, there are also art, shows and musical performances.
Sunday, December 8th in the Freiruum. From 2 pm to 8 pm.

Crafted, sewed and filled: The 7th Oberwil Wiehnachtsmärt (Christmas fair) at the Biohof (organic farm) will feature home-made objects.
Saturday, December 7th at the BiohofZug. From 10 am to 3 pm. Advent music at 11 am.

Baar
The 39th edition of the Christchindli-Märt takes place on the Rathus-Schüürplatz, the Rathausplatz and the Schulhausmarktgasse, where numerous clubs, school classes, businesses and private individuals will be offering Christmas articles at more than 130 stalls.
Saturday, 30th November in the village centre of Baar. From 11 am to 8 pm. The Märlii-Ziit (fairy tales) will take place in the Gemeindebüro(municipal office) from 1 pm to 5 pm.

Home produced products, jewellery and spices will be sold at Zuwebe Christmas market. As in previous years, a Sunday brunch will take place from 10 am.
Saturday, November 23rd, and Sunday, November 24th, at the Zuwebe in Baar. Saturday and Sunday: 12 noon to 5 pm.

Cham
There will be a great variety of stalls this year at the Chomer Wienachtsmärt: 120 of them, offering local and regional products.
Sunday, December 8th, 12 noon to 7 pm on the Dorfplatz and the Kirchplatz.

Hünenberg
In addition to the many stalls, the Beizlibetrieb (traditional bar) in the Saal Heinrich von Hünenberg will be a big attraction at the Christmas market in Hünenberg. The Jugendarbeit (youth work association) will also carry out a Charity Party together with musicians in the music rooms in the evening.
Friday, November 29th. Christmas market: Market operation from 15.30 to 20.30 and Beizlibetrieb from 3.30 pm to 10.30 pm. The Charity Party in Maihölzli-Saal will be held from 9 pm to 3 am.

Mulled wine, crepes and cosy fairy lights: everything you expect for the pre-Christmas period.

Menzingen
The traditional Christmas market will take place again this year. In addition to various stallholders, visitors can also discover some culinary delights.
Saturday, November 30th, at the Rathausplatz. From 11 am to 7 pm.

Neuheim
The Christmas market in Neuheim is especially family-friendly, with the Märlifee (fairy story teller) and the carousel, for example, ensuring lots of fun for the kids.
Sunday, November 24th, on the Dorfplatz from 12 noon to 6 pm.

Oberägeri
45 stallholders will exhibit their goods at the Christmas market in Oberägeri. Children can also hear a story at 11 am and 2 pm.
Saturday, December 7th, in the Maienmatt from 10 am to 5 pm.

Risch
Both inside and outside, visitors to the Risch Christmas Market will find what they are looking for: the market will take place in the Dorfmatt village square, where food will also be available in the Weihnachtsbeizli (Christmas bar).
Saturday, November 30th, on the Dorfplatz from 2 pm to 7.30 pm.

Steinhausen

isitors can enjoy traditional and culinary delights at the Steinhausen Christmas Market.
Friday, November 29th, in the village square. From 3 pm to 8 pm.

Unterägeri
Pupils of the 5th and 6th grade of the Unterägeri schools are organising a Christmas market.
Wednesday, November 27th, in the Acher Süd schoolhouse, from 6 pm to 9 pm.

Walchwil
Toys, woodwork, biscuits and Advent wreaths are for sale at the Hobby and Christmas market in Walchwil. There are also various treats to cook in the festival restaurant.
Sunday, November 24th, in the Gemeindesaal (community hall). From 11 am to 5 pm.
Concert by the Jungband (youth band) at 1.30 pm.
