Large number of activities to take place in National Vaccination Week

As part of the so-called National Vaccination Week, vaccination campaigns are being organised in all municipalities in Canton Zug. In addition, the walk-in offer in eight pharmacies will be expanded. The population also has the opportunity to have questions about the vaccination answered in person, by phone or by e-mail.

"The epidemiological situation is currently very tense, and the daily number of cases is increasing throughout Switzerland," writes the Zug health directorate in a media release. In order to avoid an overload of the health care system in the coming winter months, the vaccination rate needs to be increased again. "Every vaccination counts and helps us to cope with the coming months without further restrictions," says Landammann Martin Pfister. The counselling and vaccination facilities in the canton of Zug will be expanded once again during the vaccination week, and will be brought directly to the people.

Mobile vaccination teams will be on-site
A mobile vaccination team will be on site in all the municipalities of the canton during the National Vaccination Week. This team will offer consultation, and can carry out vaccinations on site and without prior notice. "Thanks to the great commitment of the municipalities, we can once again simplify the vaccination options and bring them to the people," says Martin Pfister. "We hope that this information and vaccination offer will be used by the people in Zug who have been hesitant up to now."

The vaccination campaigns will take place in the municipalities at the following times:

You can choose between all three approved vaccines (Pfizer/Biontech, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson/Janssen) at all the vaccination venues.

Walk-in vaccinations in pharmacies and in the Vaccination Centre.
The Friday vaccinations in various pharmacies will be expanded during the vaccination week. Vaccinations are available in the following eight pharmacies from 2 pm. to 6 pm., without prior registration:

The Zug vaccination centre at Langgasse 40 in Baar remains open seven days a week from 11 am to 7 pm. There, too, walk-in vaccinations are possible at any time, without registration.

Consultations on site, by phone and via e-mail
The specialists at the various vaccination sites, the Zug medical profession and the pharmacies are all available to answer questions about the corona vaccination. Questions about vaccination can also be answered directly by specialists via the hotline of the vaccination centre: 041 531 48 00 (daily from 11 am to 7 pm).

An electronic Corona Vaccination mailbox will also be offered during the vaccination week: Any questions about the corona vaccination – from the effectiveness to possible side effects to the booster vaccination – can be submitted to coronaimpfung@zg.ch. All the questions will be answered personally by experts from the respective fields.
