Inebriated driver crashes into a parked sports car

In the night of Saturday, December 14th, just before 1 a.m., a car was driving along the Baarerstrasse from Zug towards Baar when the driver lost control of his vehicle and hit a parked sports car on the right-hand side, according to a report from the Zug law enforcement authorities. The 28-year-old driver then attempted to leave the scene without reporting the accident. Two passers-by, who had heard the noise of the collision, were able to prevent him from doing so, however. The driver behaved irritably and unreasonably when the emergency services arrived, and the breath alcohol test showed a value of 1.13 mg / l (corresponds to a value of 2.26 per thousand).

The 28-year-old’s driving licence was confiscated on the spot. Nobody was injured, but the damage to the two vehicles is considerable, and amounts to over CHF 100,000. The driver will now have to appear before the public prosecutor of Canton of Zug for driving while under the influence of alcohol and for violence and threats against authorities and officials.
