Indoor pool Lättich to close for about two weeks

The indoor and outdoor swimming pool Lättich will be closed from 9 to 25 December. The time will be used to bring everything into shape, both inside and outside.

The indoor and outdoor swimming pool Lättich has not had an easy year. Due to the corona protection measures, it remained partially closed to the public, and only the schools and the swimming club could use it. Capacity restrictions also existed for a long time. But the popular leisure facility is now closing its doors again, as the municipality of Baar has announced.

This has nothing to do with the pandemic, however: the annual revision is due from 9 to 25 December. The bath area will be cleaned inside and outside down to every corner, the technology will be checked and any defects corrected. The underwater lights, for example, will be replaced. These have reached the end of their standard service life, and no longer correspond to the state of the art. In addition, new measuring and control devices for the swimming bath water treatment will be installed. These devices are essential to ensure a flawless bathing operation with the best water quality. They, too, are getting old and need to be replaced by modern equipment.

In order to be able to carry out this work, it is essential to close the operation. The swimming pool will be open for the last time until 5.45 p.m. on Wednesday, 8 December, after which the water will be drained from the pools for a good two weeks. The Lättich team will be happy to welcome bathers again from 9 a.m. on Sunday, 26 December.

The opening hours over the holidays, are as follows:

The whole installation is closed from:
5.45 p.m. on Wednesday 8 December up to and including Saturday 25 December
Open from 9 a.m. on Sunday, 26 December
Open on Monday, 27 December to Thursday, 30 December from 6.30 a.m. to 9.15 p.m.
The installation will be closed on Friday, December 31, and Saturday, January 1.
Normal Sunday opening hours (9 a.m. to 5.45 p.m.) apply from 2 January 2022.
