Hünenberg celebrated the completion of the two projects

Where the traffic usually rolls, there was celebration, laughter and dancing on Saturday afternoon. And for good reason, because the redesign of the Chamerstrasse and the completion of the Maihölzli development were duly celebrated with a big opening party.

The opening of the Maihölzli development and the Chamerstrasse took place in Hünenberg over the last few weeks. This was celebrated with an official party and probably the longest Tavolata in the middle of the street on Saturday afternoon.

The new Chamerstrasse in the centre of the village was completed in November 2023 - except for the top surface layer - together with the "Maihölzli" building development. The actual opening ceremony didn’t take place until last Saturday, however. The people of Hünenberg met at a long ‘tavolata’ in the middle of the Chamerstrasse. There has probably never been such a long table in Hünenberg. Street artists, small local groups and Hünenberg clubs created a festive atmosphere on the Chamerstrasse throughout the evening.

The Blauring and Pfadi Hünenberg were responsible for fun and games with the children, and various market stalls offered food and drink on the Dorfplatz for the physical well-being,. The hosts were the Hünenberg local authority, the Roman Catholic parish of Cham-Hünenberg and Jego AG, and they invited everyone to an aperitif.

Last but not least, the beautiful, warm weather ensured an exuberant, atmospheric opening ceremony.
