Frontal collision on the Kolinplatz

Two cars collided in the city centre of Zug on Friday, 8 May. One person was taken to hospital for checks.

On Friday morning, May 8, at 7 a.m., a 32-year-old driving on the Ägeristrasse wanted to turn left at the Kolinplatz in the direction of Oberwil. Thus led to a head-on collision with a 52-year-old driver who was travelling on the Ägeristrasse in the opposite direction at the same, according to a report from the Zug Police.

The 52-year-old person involved in the accident was taken to hospital for a check-up, according to the media release by the Zug police. The damage to the cars amounts to around CHF 30,000. There was an obstruction to traffic at the Kolinplatz while the two cars were being recovered.

Employees of the Zug ambulance service, a private towing company, the road maintenance service and the Zug police were on duty.
