Erotic establishments checked by police

The Zug police have carried out several checks in the past few days. Two people were found to not have valid work permits.

As part of their campaign to combat undeclared work, the Zug police force carried out a number of checks on Monday, 2 March and Tuesday, 3 March 2020, working together with the Office for Economic Affairs and Labour (Amt für Wirtschaft und Arbeit). According to the media release from the Zug law enforcement authorities, erotic establishments and their sex workers were checked.

The checks found that a self-employed prostitute working in an erotic establishment in the city of Zug and one in the municipality of Baar did not have valid work permits. The media release reported that they were each fined several hundred francs. They were also prohibited from continuing their work until they obtain a valid work permit.
