Drunk driver on the road

A 42-year-old driver was driving from Sins towards Cham at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening, and was noticed by other road users due to his dangerous driving on the Sinserstrasse. He drove into the oncoming lane several times, forcing oncoming vehicles to stop or take evasive action.

A collision with an oncoming car occurred during one of these inebriated manoeuvres, however, as the Zug police reported in a statement. The vehicle that caused the accident finally came to a standstill on the Sinserstrasse with a broken axle.

Fortunately, no-one was hurt in the incident. A test carried out on the driver who caused the accident showed a value of 2.4 per mil (breath alcohol measurement: 1.18 mg/l). The 42-year-old's driver's license was thereby confiscated, and he will have to answer for his misconduct before the Public Prosecutor's Office (Staatsanwaltschaft) of the Canton of Zug.
