Driving too fast on snow-covered roads

A 27-year-old woman ran into difficulties due to the wintry conditions in Menzingen on Monday. Her car came to a standstill on its roof. Fortunately no one was injured.

The accident happened just before 6.30 pm on Monday evening, 15 March. A car was driving on the Neudorfstrasse from Menzingen in the direction of Finstersee. The driver lost control of her vehicle on the snow-covered road, she because she didn’t adapt her speed to the road conditions, according to a report from the Zug police. As a result, the car came into a skid and landed on its roof in the oncoming lane.

The 27-year-old woman driver and her 27-year-old passenger escaped with the shock, and were fortunately uninjured. They were nevertheless taken to hospital by the Zug ambulance service for checks. The vehicle suffered total damage. While the details of the accident were being recorded and during the recovery of the vehicle, traffic had to be guided past the accident site in a single lane.

Employees of the Zug ambulance service, a private towing company, the road maintenance service and the Zug police were deployed.
