Driver disregards priority– scooter driver injured

A motorist failed to see a scooter rider on the Zugerstrasse in Cham on Monday morning. The scooter rider was injured in the subsequent collision.

The accident occurred shortly before 7:30 a.m. on Monday morning (30 May 2022). A 19-year-old driver wanted to turn left from the Zugerstrasse into the Knonauerstrasse in the centre of Cham. He thereby failed to see a 29-year-old scooter rider who was travelling along the Zugerstrasse in the direction of the "Bärenkreisel" roundabout.

The scooter driver suffered considerable injuries as a result of the collision. After receiving  initial medical care at the scene, he was taken to hospital by the Zug Ambulance Service.
