Dog run over by car, but driver did not stop

In Cham, an unleashed dog ran over the Sinsertrasse on Wednesday morning, where it was run over by a car and died. The driver of the car then drove away, and the police are looking for witnesses.

On Wednesday morning between 9.30 and 9.45 a.m., a man with two unleashed dogs was on the way in the Röhrliberg area in Cham when one of his four-legged companions suddenly ran away towards the Sinserstrasse.

The dog ran over the pedestrian strip of the Sinserstrasse and was run over by a car coming from Cham in the direction of Lindencham, according to a statement from the Zug police. The driver braked briefly, but then drove away from the scene of the accident without checking the animal. The dog was fatally injured in the accident.

The Zug police are now looking for witnesses who can provide information about the driver or about the course of the accident. Please contact the Operations Control Centre (041 728 41 41). The driver is asked to report himself/herself.
