Change of date for flea market in the KKL

All the furniture and small items from the Red restaurant, the World Café and the Crystal Lounge at the KKL Lucerne are to be sold at a ‘flea market" (we reported last week)

The flea market will now take place on Saturday, February 8, from 12 noon to 4 pm in the Lucerne KKL hall. The flea market was originally for scheduled for Sunday, February 9th; but that would have violated cantonal law in Lucerne regarding days of rest and shop closing hours (Ruhetags- und Ladenschlussgesetz (RLG)).

The renovation work at the KKL in Lucerne started yesterday. Over the next two months, the restaurants on the ground floor and first floor, as well as the event rooms on 2nd floor, will be completely renewed, and are due to reopen on April 2 - under new names. The "World Café", the "RED" and the "Crystal Lounge" will now become the 'Deli Cafébar Le Piaf' on the ground floor, the 'Lucide' restaurant on the 1st floor and the 'Deuxième' event room on the 2nd floor.
