Car crashes into central crash barrier on motorway

A car crashed into the central crash barrier on the southbound A4 motorway near Rotkreuz on early Sunday morning. The driver is uninjured – and there were no other participants.

A 33-year-old motorist was travelling south on the A4 motorway just after 6 am on Sunday morning. Between Rotkreuz and Küssnacht, he got into a skid and crashed into the central guardrail, as the Zug police reports. As a result, the car turned around its own axis and came to a halt on the overtaking lane.

The driver was uninjured, but his car was a complete write-off. During the recording of the accident and the recovery of the vehicle, traffic had to pass by the accident site on the hard shoulder. The driver of the crashed car was not under the influence of alcohol, according to police.

Employees of the Zentras, a private towing company and the Zug police were on duty.
