Body of man found in public toilets

It is sad to have to report that the body of a man was found in public toilets in the city on Sunday morning.

It was shortly before 9.30 am that police received a call to say that a body had been found at the toilets on Industriestrasse. While an ambulance was also sent to the scene, the first responders were able only to confirm the death of the 56-year-old Swiss man.

His body was subsequently taken to the Institute of Forensic Medicine at the University of Zurich in order for the cause of death to be ascertained.

The police have subsequently issued an appeal to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area of the toilets (near the V-Zug bus stop - photograph) that morning or the evening before to contact them on 041 728 41 41 without delay.
