Bike helmet prevented worse injuries

A cyclist sustained serious injuries in a single-vehicle-accident. Thanks to the cycle helmet, however, her injuries were not more serious.

The accident occurred at 2 p.m. on Sunday afternoon in the “Ochsenfeissi” area in the municipality of Unterägeri. During a braking manoeuvre on a dirt road, a 43-year-old bike rider fell and was seriously injured, as the Zug Police write in a recent report.

The two-wheeler rider was taken to hospital by Rega helicopter. The helmet worn by the cyclist saved her from more serious injuries, according to the police. They thereby strongly recommend never riding without a helmet - whether on a bike or e-bike, or for a short distance or a day tour.
