The head of art education at the Kunsthaus Zug set up the "Awakened Art History" offer together with Alzheimer Zug.

Each year, the Business and Counselling Centre of Alzheimer Zug awards the Recognition Award (Anerkennungspreis) to a personality who has contributed to improving the quality of life of people with dementia and/or their relatives in a special way.

World Alzheimer's Day: Raising public awareness
Alzheimer Switzerland, Alzheimer Zug and the other 20 cantonal sections "support people with dementia and their relatives all year round with information, advice, exchange opportunities, and bring their concerns into politics and into the public debate". Around the World Alzheimer's Day on 21 September, Alzheimer Switzerland and the cantonal sections are making additional efforts to raise awareness among the population about dementia and its consequences, and to call for more understanding towards patients and relatives.
