Articulated lorry turned sideways on A14 motorway

The entrance road to the A14 motorway in Baar was closed for several hours on Monday afternoon after an articulated lorry skidded on the wet carriageway.

There was no way through on the motorway feeder road in Baar on Monday afternoon. According to the Zug Police, the reason for this was an articulated lorry that was blocking access to the A14 motorway.

The articulated lorry was traveling in the curved area of the motorway entrance towards Zug/Lucerne at around 1.30 p.m. on Monday afternoon when it skidded on the wet road.

No way through: The articulated lorry involved in the accident completely blocked the road.
The articulated lorry had to be recovered by a private towing company

The lorry then became stuck in the grass next to the motorway. The 40-year-old driver was fortunately uninjured.

The accident caused the motorway entrance to be completely blocked, and the entrance road remained closed until 4:15 p.m. Traffic had to thereby be rerouted via Sihlbrugg.
