An ice rink is being constructed on the Postplatz

What has become established in Unterägeri for seven years will now also be implemented in the city of Zug. Between mid-December and February 2022, it will be possible to ice skate on the Upper Postplatz. The installation is currently being set up.

A public ice rink with various attractions is planned, and should inspire adults and children and encourage them to move. The ice rink will be reserved for "School on Ice", In the morning, as the city of Zug reported on Tuesdays. Schools, day-care centres, playgroups and kindergartens can use a password to register the desired time on the ice rink on the www.zug.sport website, free of charge. Skates and additional equipment can be rented on site.

It should be a cosy little ice rink – and of course it should also be a place for the local population, private groups or companies to linger. The ice rink can also be exclusively rented for curling matches. There will be a small stand with mulled wine and other drinks and small snacks next to the ice rink.

"Zug on Ice" is a project for the population and for Zug, and is being held to further enliven the Upper Postplatz and bring a magical atmosphere to the wintry city of Zug.
