Two drivers driving without driver's licences

On the night leading to Sunday, two motorists were driving in Baar without valid driver's licences. One of them was also under the influence of drugs and alcohol.

The first incident took place on Saturday evening, October 31, at 11.30 p.m. in Baar on the Lättichstrasse, as Sandra Peier, media spokeswoman for the Zug law enforcement agencies, wrote in a statement. The emergency services of the Zug Police checked a 19-year-old driver and found that the young man did not have a driver's licence. His 19-year-old female passenger was in possession of a driver's license on probation, and has let her boyfriend drive the vehicle to. They will both now have to answer to the Public Prosecutor's Office of the Canton of Zug.

Positive rapid drug test
Shortly before 4.45 a.m., another car was checked by the emergency services on the Lättichstrasse. The 19-year-old driver also did not have a valid driver's licence, and also showed symptoms of alcohol and drugs. A rapid drug test was positive for cannabis. As a result, the on-call prosecutor ordered a blood and urine sample to be taken at the hospital. The 19-year-old passenger was in possession of a driver's license on probation, but was also under the influence of alcohol and had allowed his colleague to drive the car. In this case, also, both persons must answer to the Public Prosecutor's Office of the Canton of Zug.
