Driver loses control of his vehicle on wet road

A driver lost control of his car on the highway near Cham in the early hours of Sunday and crashed into the central guardrail. The man was fortunately uninjured, but his car was a complete write-off.

A single-vehicle accident occurred on the A4 motorway near Cham in the direction of Lucerne in the early hours of Sunday, shortly after 12:15 am, according to a statement from the Zug police.

A 22-year-old driver skidded on the wet road between Lindencham and the Rütihof junction of the A4 motorway, and crashed into the central guardrail. The car spun around its own axis and came to a halt in the overtaking lane. Fortunately, the driver was uninjured, but the car suffered total damage. The breath alcohol test carried out on the driver produced a negative result, as stated in the communication.

Employees of the Zentras, a private towing company and the Zug police were on duty at th scene of the accident.
