Construction work at intersection of Baarerstrasse and Gotthardstrasse

The construction work at the intersection of the Baarerstrasse and the Gotthardstrasse in Zug will last from 9 to 19 October, and will take place between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m.

The WWZ (Zug waterworks company) has been replacing the gas and drinking water pipelines in the Poststrasse and the Gotthardstrasse in Zug since the summer of 2021. As stated in a recent press release, the last stage is now imminent: the connection of the Baarerstrasse utility lines at the Gotthardstrasse-Baarerstrasse intersection near the Metalli shopping centre.

Due to the high volume of traffic during the day, WWZ will carry out this work between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m., and construction will start on Sunday evening, 9 October, with the work expected to be completed on Wednesday morning, 19 October.

During the night work, traffic will be controlled by signalling or a traffic service. The excavations will be covered with steel plates during the day, making the intersection passable.
