ZUG IMPACT SUMMIT "Faith in Finance"

On 30 & 31 October 2017 the second Zug Impact Summit will open its doors at the newly renovated Theater Casino Zug to 30+ speakers and hundreds of guests to debate on how to make social and environmental impact in the world through investment.

The Swiss Impact Investment Association (SIIA) is a non-profit organization located in Zug, Switzerland. Its mission is to make impact investment awareness within the Swiss financial industry and beyond. SIIA believes that impact investment is the prime driver for societal change and in reaching the global goals defined by the United Nations. The Zug Impact Summit is a place where all stakeholders within the global impact ecosystem meet to invest, discuss and launch entrepreneurial and innovative solutions to social and environmental issues.

The Zug Impact Summit is a speakers’ forum allowing entrepreneurs, investors, and thought leaders to showcase their companies, investment opportunities, research, and to launch projects and express their thoughts on global themes. Involved are start-ups and multinationals, private and institutional investors, entrepreneurs and governments, professors and students, NGOs and philanthropists. Most attendees are invited through an exclusive SIIA curated invitation list ensuring a diverse representation of all stakeholders. However, a limited number of tickets are also available to the public for building broader awareness. The summit promotes open dialogues, diverse opinions and an atmosphere of sharing experiences, knowledge, and ideas to find solutions for a sustainable economy and society.

This year, SIIA cooperates with the Alliance of Religions and Conservation (ARC). ARC is a charitable foundation founded by HRH Prince Philip. It aims to shed light on the theme of “Faith Consistent Investing,” culminating in the signing of the Zug Guidelines by major global faith groups on how to invest according to the Faiths’ core values.

In addition, approximately 30 Swiss foundations will sign the Zug Declaration at the summit. The Zug Declaration publicly commits the foundations to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the impact investment approach. The summit will also announce a new Swiss social bank, a gender equality program, the global wild forest conservation project; an impact report on Swiss and Liechtenstein foundations and several more programs.
