Woman robbed of bag containing CHF 20,000

A woman was robbed of a bag containing CHF 20,000 yesterday morning. Police have since issued an appeal to the public to help find the man who snatched it.

The robbery occurred shortly after 10am when a man snatched the shoulder-bag containing CHF 20,000 from a woman employee of the kiosk at the Gotthard centre at number 13 Bahnhofstrasse and then sprayed pepper in her face before running off to a multi-story car park.

Police describe the man as being around 35 years of age, between 175 cm and 180 cm tall, of slim build, with short blond hair, a longish face, bright eyes, of generally unkempt appearance, and wearing a dark jacket and jeans. The shoulder bag stolen was light grey with a black motif on it.
