Three people injured, two seriously

Three people were injured, two seriously, following a collision involving two cars on Sihlbruggstasse on Monday morning.

The accident happened shortly before 9.30 am on a bend in the road known as the Laubau curve.

It appears the 68-year-old driver of a car travelling towards Neuheim veered over onto the wrong side of the road for reasons yet not yet known and crashed into an oncoming vehicle. The drivers of both vehicles were seriously injured, the passenger in the car heading towards Neuheim less so. As can be seen in the photograph both cars were written off in the incident.

As a result of the incident, at which fire brigades from Zug and Neuheim in addition to police attended, Sihlbruggstrasse had to be closed for some time while a recovery vehicle removed the wreckage of the cars and the debris was cleared up.
