The canton's largest employers (2)

Following the previous publication of the ten largest employers in the canton, herewith a list of those from 11th to 20^th.

With 650 employees, the Medela AG medical technology company comes 11^th in the list, followed by the Shire pharmaceuticals company with a staff of 560, though it employs 25,000 worldwide.

Next comes the Novartis pharmaceutical company of Rotkreuz with 537 employees here, and as many as 125,000 worldwide.

The 14^th largest employer in the canton is the ZVB transport company with a payroll of 519, followed by the WWZ utility provider and telecommunications company with 460 employees.

While the Bossard Group employs 2,294 worldwide, in Zug it has a staff of 450. 17^th in the list is Partners Group with 447 staff in Baar and 1,036 around the globe.

The manufacturer of smart meters, Landis+ Gyr, comes next in 18^th position with 431 employees here and 5,967 worldwide.

415 people work for the Zug Old People’s Centres’ Foundation, just eight more than at the International School of Zug and Lucerne (ISZL) in 20^th position.

The list, as published in an economic supplement to the Zuger Zeitung, also gave details in some cases of the companies’ turnover on 2017. These include CHF 48.3 billion at Novartis, CHF 1.7 billion at Landis+Gyr, CHF 1.2 billion at Partners Group and CHF 42 million at the ISZL.
