Tech for Family STEAM Event!

During a 3 hour afternoon workshop, children (age 6+) and their caregivers want to learn from two amazing programs.

PROGRAM 1: DIY Action Figure

If you've ever dreamed of becoming a toy developer, or simply wished you could make an action figure with a fantastic accessory of your own design, it's your time to shine!

During TechLabs' Family workshop we will teach you the basics of TinkerCAD.

Our 3D scanners and printers want to be able to create objects for your figures that are only limited by your imagination!

Finally, we will prepare the figure with its own packaging and decoration. This project is great for beginning with no experience in CAD design and wish to experience the power to be creative with the latest technologies. Workship suitable for age 6+

PROGRAM 2: DIY Holiday Ornament / Decoration

Get creative and make unique holiday decorations while learning 3D Design with TinkerCAD. Manipulate and assemble shapes from a template to create your very own holiday ornament & decoration.

Want to take it to the next level? We'll teach you how to install and program (using Blockly) circuitry using CodeBugs to add creative light displays or sounds! This project is great for beginners with no experience in CAD design, programming or circuiting and wishing to experience the power to be creative with the latest technologies. Workship suitable for age 6+
