Motorcyclist sustains life-threatening injuries

A 55-year-old motorcyclist was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after he was involved in a collision with two cars on Saturday afternoon.

The incident happened shortly before 2pm on Zugerstrasse as a woman driver had to stop for a traffic light.

Unfortunately, the ensuing motorcyclist and the driver of another car failed to notice in time, each crashing into the vehicle in front.

Fortunately, none of the car passengers was injured but damage amounting to CHF 45,000 was caused.

The incident was attended by the fire service of the canton of Schwyz with police from both there and Zug assisting. A private vehicle-recovery truck also had to be brought in.
