Local company wins first prize at Swiss Employer Awards

The Baumann Koelliker Group, to which the Zug-based Stadler AG company belongs, has won first prize in the Swiss Employer Awards in the category of those firms with more than 1,000 employees.

The competition is open to all companies in Switzerland and Liechtenstein which employ a staff of 50 of more, this particular award having been based on a questionnaire completed by employees themselves.

The Stadler AG electro and telecommunications company, which was founded as long ago as 1892, is headquartered on Chollerstrasse in the city and operates in all areas concerning electricity, specialising in all the latest developments in technology and providing tailor-made solutions for their clients.

In recent years, the firm, which became part of the Baumann Koelliker Group in 1961, has been involved in the construction of the new production plant and offices of the Siemens (Switzerland) company, the huge Bossard warehouse in Baar, Park Tower, the Waldhotel of the Burgenstock AG Group, and the Bentley Zug showrooms and offices.

In order to ensure there will be highly qualified and happy staff in the future, they are currently training ten apprentices.
