An Easter story leads picture by picture through the children's section of the library. At each station there is a new picture to discover. Accompanying adults read the text aloud while the children look attentively for the picture clippings that need to be found. Reading children can also read aloud themselves and thus become an active part of the story. A small Easter surprise awaits everyone at the end. The exhibition starts on the 14th of April at 12:00 and ends on the 17th of April at 17:00.

Swiss Easter Traditions
Join egg tapping a little further afield in the city of Bern. The tradition on the morning of Easter Sunday can be compared to the game of conkers and while you're welcome to bring your own hard-boiled eggs along, you will also find that you can purchase plenty of painted ones on site.
Discover the tradition of “Zwänzgerle” in Zurich. On the morning of Easter Monday, crowds of adults and children gather at Limmatquai and Rüdenplatz ready to compete. The rules of the game foresee that the adult throws 20 Rappen at a hard-boiled egg that the child holds. The aim is for the coin to stay lodged in the egg, an almost impossible task, much to the delight of the children as any coin that falls to the ground is theirs to keep.
