Children’s Summer Camps & Courses 2025
With summer holidays around the corner, many of you have been asking us about our annual guide on children’s summer camps and courses. This year, our selection of providers that cater to English speakers in the Zug area covers many different topics and interests so that there’s a fit for everyone. You’ll want to hurry though as places are filling up fast!
Nuejos (23 June to 15 August)
Nuejo’s Family Center located in Baar is now registering children ages 2 to 12 years for their popular multi-activity camp. Enjoy maximum flexibility with half and full days bookable on a daily or weekly basis with or without overnight stays from age 9 on selected dates and snacks and lunch included. Children will be split into three age-appropriate groups and planned is a mixed bag of indoor and outdoor activities alongside field trips. What we also love is the early morning bus collection service for children, if required. Nuejos can meet you and your child / children at Zug, Zurich or Luzern main train stations. TechLabs (7 to 11 July)
TechLabs’ technology camps are multi-faceted and explore the interaction of the digital world with scientific, engineering, artistic and mathematical concepts through play and a program more relevant than ever. Held at Shooting Stars in Unterägeri by expert and energetic instructors and featuring the newest tech will be two types of week-long camps that are available as half or full days with snacks and lunch provided. Embark this year on an extraordinary journey at our Space Engineering Holiday Camp, where young innovators will explore the captivating world of space technology! This immersive camp combines hands-on robotics, engineering challenges, and creative problem-solving to inspire the next generation of engineers, astronauts, and scientists. KiTi-Hof (7 July to 13 August)
The KiTi-Hof pony farm in Uerzlikon by Kappel am Albis is home to Shetland ponies and Icelandic horses of different sizes, and the perfect place for children who love animals to get up close during riding camp. During single sessions and multi-day courses with or without overnight stay for children ages 3 to 16 years, participants get the opportunity to care for, groom and ride the ponies while furthering their knowledge and learning how to respectfully interact with the animals. The varied schedule that takes place on the farm but also out in nature caters to all skill levels and is a great chance to build self-confidence and learn new skills from knowledgeable and dedicated instructors. Dance Zug (11 to 15 August)
Dance Zug in Cham sets the bar high with experienced instructors and combines dance, rhythmic gymnastics, theatre and music in a friendly, encouraging and creative atmosphere. Their dance camp is open to beginners and children with experience alike and is suitable from ages 6 to 14 years. The week-long program runs for three hours during afternoons and participants will be split into age-appropriate groups. From selecting the right music to choreographing, the children will be involved in all aspects of planning a performance for parents that encourages not only physical fitness but also fosters confidence, teamwork and self-expression. Chess4kids (7 July to 15 August)
It has been proven repeatedly that chess has positive effects on the overall development of children, encouraging creativity, problem-solving, concentration and many other life skills. The chess camp by chess school Chess4kids in Baar is suitable from age 5 and is tailored to suit beginners and advanced players alike. While mornings are dedicated to the board game, afternoons are reserved for daily changing activities such as art, martial arts or sport. Booking is extremely flexible with half and full days bookable on a daily or weekly basis with snacks and lunch provided. InterSoccer (30 June to 15 August)
Want to give your child the ultimate football experience with qualified coaches? Look no further! InterSoccer's football camps at ISZL in Baar and the sports facility Eizmoos in Cham are the perfect mix of fun and competition for boys and girls ages 3 to 13 years, no matter their skill level. While the so-called Mini camps (3 to 5 years) run mornings only, choose from half day or full day options on single days or weekly for the Junior (5 to 9 years) and Academy (10 to 13 years) camps.
