Children Summer Camps & Courses 2022

With temperatures sizzling, we can’t help but feel like it’s already officially summer. Speaking of summer, as many of you have already been asking us about summer camps, we felt it was about time we share a selection of this year’s camp and course providers in the region. With each covering different interests, we hope you find the perfect fit for your family!

Prokids (4 to 29 July)
The Prokids summer camp at Herti with qualified coach and ex professional football player Andrew Bond who has more than 20 years’ experience in the English leagues is the perfect setting for girls and boys ages 4 to 10 years to be outside and enhance their football skills. Half days can be booked on a daily or weekly basis and the limited number of participants ensures that everyone receives a truly enhancing learning experience. Visit website

Chess4kids (11 July to 19 August)
It has been proven repeatedly that chess has positive effects on the overall development of adolescents. The summer camp by chess school Chess4kids in Baar is suitable from age 5 and is tailored to suit beginners and advanced players alike. While mornings are dedicated to the game, afternoons are reserved for rotating activities such as art, hip-hop or ballgames. Nuejo’s (27 June to 19 August)
Nuejo’s Family Center located in Baar is now registering children ages 3 to 12 years for their popular summer camp. Enjoy maximum flexibility with half and full days bookable on a daily or weekly basis with or without overnight stays on selected dates (from age 7) and snacks and lunch included. Planned is a mixed bag of indoor and outdoor activities alongside field trips. Boredom is literally impossible. Visit website

Soft Landing (11 July to 19 August)
Soft Landing’s weekly summer courses make learning German interactive and fun for children ages 4 to 14 years of different proficiency levels. The language school in Baar takes a hands-on and relevant approach by not limiting learning to the classroom and combining it with activities such as art. They also offer an adult summer programme. TechLabs (11 to 22 July)
Real world skills, big time fun - there’s more to TechLabs’ holiday camps than coding as they return to Zug for a fifth consecutive year. Their popular week-long Flight Lab will be held twice at the ISZL high school campus and teaches children ages 10 to 16 years flight and design skills as they build and fly their own model aircraft. Snacks and lunch are provided as part of their full day package, and you can expect the newest tech as well as expert and energetic instructors that are Flite Test certified and speak English, German and French. Institut Montana (17 July to 6 August)
The summer sessions by Institut Montana on the scenic Zugerberg combine learning with fun and draw an international crowd. You can choose from a 2- or 3-week programme, which participants ages 10 to 15 years can frequent as a day or boarding student. There will be a good mix of academics, sports, activities, and excursions inspired by almost 100 years of educational excellence. Visit website    

KiTi-Hof (9 July to 13 August)
The KiTi-Hof pony farm in Baar is home to Shetland ponies and Icelandic horses of different sizes, and the perfect place for children to get up close to the animals. During single sessions and multi-day courses with and without overnight stay for children ages 3 to 15 years, participants get the opportunity to care for and learn how to communicate with the ponies as well as ride them of course. The varied schedule caters to all skill levels and is a great chance to build self-confidence and learn new things from knowledgeable instructors! Visit website
