Autumn Bucket List

As the air is turning crisp and the days are shortening, autumn is upon us in Zug. Here’s a list of things to do, so you can make the most of this colourful season.

Pumpkins Galore

What would autumn be without pumpkins? Visit the family-run Juckerhof in Seegräaben for sizable works of rainforest-inspired art created with pumpkins of all shapes, colours and sizes. Then indulge in seasonal specialties at the on-site restaurant and farm shop.

Miraculous Underground

Visit the Höllgrotten in Baar while they are still open through 31 October. Learn and discover more about these unique limestone caves, which date back thousands of years. A perfect family outing during the break or on one of the weekends.

Romantic Hours

Become enchanted as the Park Seleger Moor in Rifferswil turns into a formidable explosion of colour. The yellow, orange and red hues reach the peak of their radiance in mid to late October. Stroll along winding paths before stopping at the small park pub or designated barbecue area for refreshments.

Late Night Beats

Mark your calendars partygoers. Not only is Lounge & Gallery bringing Bavaria to Zug at their own rendition of the Oktoberfest from 22 to 23 October but also their Halloween Party is much awaited as their venue is set for a spooky makeover on 30 and 31 October.

Pure Relaxation

Escape the cold and recharge in the indoor and outdoor pool areas of the Mineral Bath & Spa at Rigi Kaltbad. We promise that the Alpine panorama on 1426 metres above sea level beats the tiles in your bathroom easily.

Children’s Halloween

Hosted for kids by kids, the Halloween Choco Concert at the Burgbach Saal is a real treat for all ages. Classical music presented by the students at the Swiss School of Music will be accompanied by Halloween cartoons. There will also be a bar with sweet treats and costumes are welcomed.

Children's Cooking Class

Register your children for a Halloween-themed cooking class at Freiruum where they will learn to prepare ghostly snacks and drinks. Registration for the event taking place on 27 and 30 October closes on 23 October and spaces are limited so hurry in order not to miss out.
