Home to over 55 nationalities, the school is proud to offer Swiss academic pathways (accredited by the Canton of Zug) as well as international programmes that suit every aspiration. 

The school offers 4 academic pathways:

Bilingual Primary School for grades 1-6
It follows the Lehrplan 21, based on the Canton of Zug’s framework. Lessons are taught equally in English and German, fostering confidence and fluency in both languages.

Bilingual Secondary School for grades 7-9
Offering a level of individualised care rarely found elsewhere, it follows the Swiss skill-based approach outlined in the Lehrplan 21 and provides a vital bridge from Primary School to its Swiss Gymnasium or our International School.

The middle years follow the Cambridge Programmes (CLSP, IGCSE), a strong foundation for a truly international education. In the last two years, students follow the International Baccalaureate or High School Diploma and gain access to prestigious universities in Switzerland and around the world.

Swiss Gymnasium for grades 7-12
The Swiss Gymnasium at Institut Montana prepares students for the Swiss Matura, accredited by the Canton of Zug and completed through in-house examinations. It provides direct admissions to leading Swiss universities, such as ETH Zurich and HSG and enables applications to prestigious higher education institutions worldwide.

Summer Camp
Time: July
Duration: 2 weeks
Age: 10-16 years old

 

Every year, Institut Montana offers a summer camp of a lifetime on the beautiful Zugerberg campus! Motto: Learn. Grow. Move. Meet.

 

Mornings are for English or German classes, where students boost their language skills with confidence. In the afternoons, hands-on workshops in business, science, tech, art, and creativity make learning exciting and fun. Evenings bring the magic – from dodgeball and trivia to karaoke or bonfires with new friends under the stars.

 

Weekends are all about adventure, with fun excursions into Swiss nature or exciting visits to nearby attractions.
