Zug Tourism has received an award
Zug Tourism has achieved Level II in the Swisstainable programme of Swiss Tourism.
This makes Zug the first destination to make the leap from the entry level to the next level, as Zug Tourism announced in a recent press release. The award confirms that sustainability is not only firmly established in the region, but is also being further developed with concrete and verifiable measures.

These measures include the establishment of a sustainability council (Nachhaltigkeitsrat), free public transport for guests and organising a waste collection day (Abfallsammeltag).
According to the press release, Zug Tourism is pursuing a holistic approach that combines ecological, social and economic aspects, and this is being implemented together with regional partners.
The aim is to secure the quality of life in the canton in the long term and to make tourism sustainable for the future.
