Zug Police check motorcycles and find numerous shortcomings

Over a period of around four hours last Thursday afternoon, the Zug Police checked a total of 85 two-wheelers and their riders in Oberwil. Particular attention was thereby paid to the maintenance of the technical conditions of the motorcycles, reported the Zug Police. They were assisted by specialists from the Zug Traffic Office.

16 police reports were drawn up regarding incorrect or missing mirrors, missing  supplements and listings of changes. Six riders were reported to the authorities as riding without the prescribed visual aids and/or imnsufficient brake lining, or because their tyres had less than the minimum profile of 1.6 millimetres. Five other riders received on-the-spot fines for various traffic offences.
