Young Green Liberal Party founded
Last Saturday the Young Green Liberal Party of the Canton of Zug was founded, with three of its members, including its co-leader Klemens Iten, 20, of Unterägeri of along with Alena Mechler, 22, of Allenwinden, and Nils Jacobi,18, of Rotkreuz, having been nominated to stand for a seat in the National Council, the larger of the two parliamentary chambers in Bern.
The three aforementioned, who can be seen in the photograph from left to right, were elected unanimously, the party looking to achieve at least one per cent of all votes across Switzerland in the elections this autumn.
Iten’s co-leader in this new party is Tabea Estermann, 26, of Zug, the committee being made up of Jil Affentranger, 24, of Rotkreuz, Stefanie Durrer,19, of Steinhausen, Kim Häcki,19, also of Steinhausen, Julia Hernandez, 21, of Baar, Daniel Tanner, 20, of Menzingen, Mugi Yamamoto, 30, of Cham along with Mächler and Jacobi.
