Young driver causes rear-end collision

Due to inattention at the wheel, a rear-end collision occurred on the A4a motorway in Cham. Nobody was injured, but the damage to property amounts to several thousand francs.

The accident occurred on the A4a motorway in Cham in the direction of Lucerne on Tuesday evening shortly after 5.15 p.m. Immediately before the ‘Blegicurve’, a 20-year-old driver in the fast lane noticed too late that the vehicles in front of her were braking, and crashed into the rear of the car in front of her at high speed. As a result, the two vehicles were pushed into each other and badly damaged, as the Zug police reported.

Damage to property was around CHF 25,000, but, fortunately, the two drivers remained unharmed. The vehicles involved in the accident were no longer drivable, and had to be towed away. As a result of the accident, there was a long queue arose on the A4a motorway during rush hour traffic.
