Young cyclist hit by car

The Zug police are looking for a woman driver who is said to have been involved in an accident with a cyclist on Thursday evening.

The accident happened on Thursday evening between 4:30 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. A 12-year-old cyclist on the Poststrasse crossed the intersection into the Berchtwilerstrasse, where he was hit by a car driving on the Chamerstrasse in the direction of the SBB overpass.

The driver stopped briefly, but then left the scene of the accident. According to the boy's initial statements, the vehicle involved in the accident was a small Toyota car with an inscription on the side. Fortunately, the boy was not injured in the accident.

Any persons who observed the accident and are able to provide further information about the vehicle are asked to report to the Operations Control Centre of the Zug police on 041 728 41 41. In particular, we are looking for the driver involved in the incident, who is requested to come forward.

The driver being looked for is about 170 to 175 tall, has shoulder-length brown hair and was wearing brown, square glasses. According to the statements of the cyclist, she is also a smoker.
