Workman sustains serious injuries after accident on building site

A workman sustained serious injuries after a formwork element fell on him at a building site in Baar on Monday afternoon.

The incident happened shortly after 2pm at the site on Frohburgweg in the municipality as the 43-year-old workman and his colleagues were involved in setting up formwork elements when suddenly one of them, weighing several hundreds of kilogrammes, fell on him, trapping him.

Fortunately, as journalist Andrea Muff wrote, his colleagues rushed to his assistance and raised the element allowing him to be freed, comforting him until the emergency services arrived. It was mentioned how his feet were particularly badly injured.
