Woman on pedestrian crossing hit and seriously injured

A pedestrian was hit by a car and seriously injured on a pedestrian crossing in Cham on Monday morning. The driver of the car fled the scene, and the police are now looking for any witnesses.
 

Early Monday morning in Cham, a 42-year-old pedestrian on a pedestrian crossing was hit by a car and seriously injured. The driver fled the scene, according to a report from the Zug law enforcement office.

The accident occurred shortly before 6:00 am on the Sinserstrasse at the Heiligkreuzstrasse intersection. After receiving initial treatment at the scene, the woman was taken to a hospital outside the canton by the Zug ambulance service.

The Zug police are now seeking any witnesses who can provide information about the vehicle or the accident.

Information can be reported to the Police Operations Centre on 041 595 41 41. The police are requesting that the driver come forward.
