Wolf sighted in Menzingen

A wolf has been recently sighted in the municipality of Menzingen.

The Canton of Zug has thereby sent a text message to livestock owners in the area, urging them to review and implement herd protection measures.

According to reports, the wolf was sighted in the Greit/Gottschalkenberg region. Most recently, several sheep were killed in Hausen am Albis on 9th November 2025, presumably by a wolf, according to the Office for Forestry and Wildlife (Amt für Wild und Wald) on its website.
