With a moustache against cancer

For ten years now, the "SchnauZug" association has been organising events and campaigns supporting the Zug Cancer League. The club now invites everyone to the last big party in the Galvanik on 26 November.

For ten years, the SchnauZug association (Moustache Zug) has been committed to raising awareness of prostate and testicular cancer. As the club writes in a statement, the members have donated almost CHF 200,000 to the Krebsliga Zug (Zug Cancer League) during this time – together with companies such as the Baar brewery, the Nussbaumer bakery, Galvanik Zug, Janssen AG and EV Zug.

"Stop when it's at its most beautiful," says the statement. Because the association is now discontinuing its commitment. But there will be dancing for a good cause for the last time on 26 November: the last charity gala will take place in the Galvanik and, as the press release promises, this event will have a lot to offer.

"We don't want to reveal too much yet, but we will implement everything we have always wanted, from light shows to magicians and ring dancers," said OC President Joel Schuler in the statement. Four bands and four DJs will set the mood and the afterparty will last until the early hours of the morning. Joel Schuler adds:

"We're doing everything we can to make the evening so epic that even the Great Gatsby would be jealous."

The club expects 1,000 visitors, and will, in turn, donate the profits to the Krebsliga Zug. Tickets are now available at schnauzug.ch.

But why?

The question of why is posed by the club itself in its press release: "Why should such a successful concept be buried?" The "boss moustache" Joel Schuler explains: "The corona time made us reflect on everything. A lot has changed in our lives in the last ten years, both privately and professionally."

After the two years of involuntary break, the club decided to stop. However, it is important to those responsible that "SchnauZug" is always remembered by people " with positive and beautiful moments". "That's why we're really stepping on the gas again and celebrating the conclusion and our anniversary on an epic night."
