Violence in the emergency room of the cantonal hospital

The Zug police have taken a man into custody who was acting in a riotous manner in the emergencyroom of the hospital. The man had to be treated by a doctor.

The man was acting in a violent manner in the emergency room of the Zug Cantonal Hospital around 10 o'clock on Monday morning, and also damaged two cars parked in front of the building. As the Zug police announced, several patrols were deployed – and were able to arrest the man.

During the deployment, the 28-year-old Swiss physically attacked and injured two police officers. Due to his state of health, an emergency psychiatrist had to be called in, the statement continues, and he was referred to a psychiatric hospital.

The 28-year-old will now have to appear before the Public Prosecutor's Office of the Canton of Zug s to answer charges of violence and threats against officials, as well as damage to property. The material damage to the vehicles amounts to several thousand Swiss Francs.
