Unsecured car rolls into a garage door

Because a car was insufficiently secured with the handbrake, it started to roll and crashed into a garage door. Nobody was injured, but the property damage is considerable.

On Tuesday morning, February 4, shortly after 6.15 a.m., a woman reported to the Zug police headquarters that her car had started rolling and had run into the garage door at the Rathaus/Poststrasse car park in the municipality of Baar. The massive steel gate had been thereby pushed upwards, and the car then ran further down and crashed into the guidance system there.

The car rolled into the garage door

Fortunately, no-one was injured. The amount of property damage cannot be quantified yet, but it is considerable. According to the 50-year-old driver, the garage door did not open as usual, so she drove back up the ramp to open the gate with the key at the post there. When the car reached the top, she got out of the car to use the key, whereupon the car started to rolldown the slope and crashed into the garage door.
