Unknown assailant robs petrol station shop
An unknown assailant robbed a petrol station shop in Baar. The perpetrator threatened the employee with a knife, and stole cash. Police are asking for help from the public.
An unknown, masked assailant robbed the BR petrol station shop on the Zugerstrasse in Baar on Sunday evening. He threatened an employee with a knife and forced her to hand over cash from the register, as the Zug Police reported on Monday.
The robbery occurred shortly before 10 pm, and the perpetrator then left the shop with the stolen money and fled in the direction of the Zugerstrasse/Neuhausweg, according to the police report. No one was injured.
Despite an immediate search, the suspected perpetrator has not yet been located. The Zug Police have launched an investigation. and are asking the public for assistance.

Anyone who made suspicious observations in the vicinity of the petrol station in question on Sunday evening, or who has information about the perpetrator or his escape, is asked to contact the Zug Police Operations Centre (Einsatzleitzentrale der Zuger Polizei) on 041 595 41 41.
According to the police report, the perpetrator is approximately 20 years old and 175 centimetres tall. He has dark skin and black, curly hair. During the incident, he was wearing a black and white hooded sweatshirt (or jacket), black sweatpants, white sneakers, and a black cap, and was carrying a white bag.
"We are currently reviewing the surveillance camera footage to explore all avenues," said Melanie Merten, media spokesperson for the Zug law enforcement authorities, in response to an enquiry. "Cases like this are not commonplace for us," she added. According to her, similar offenses do not occur regularly in the Canton of Zug.
